AJ's Mercantile is committed to serve the local community and make every interaction with us a positive experience. We want you, our customers and suppliers, to be able to trust us, confident that our decisions and procedures are ethical & beyond reproach.

This code provides clear direction on conduct expected in support of our customer. It applies to all employees, contractors and others acting on behalf of AJ's Mercantile, LLC.

We put you, the customer, first. Your concerns are taken very seriously, with the appropriate sense of urgency, attention and empathy. Issues that are unable to be resolved immediately will be escalated to an owner for timely resolution.
We embrace your complaints as opportunities. Instead of reacting defensively, we commit to resolving your issue to the best of our ability.
We provide honest responses, and do not make promises we cannot keep. We conduct ourselves with integrity. We will deliberate carefully before making commitments or promises.
We demonstrate thorough knowledge of AJ's products so that we can address your unique situation with optimal solutions.
If we do not know the answer to your question, we will be honest with you & then help you to find the answer.

Our Customers are expected to be respectful to all AJ's Mercantile employees and other customers. AJ's reserves the right to ban & refuse service to anyone who engages in abusive or offensive behavior (in person or online) including but not limited to:

Abusive or offensive language; remarks of a sexual nature; racist language; homophobic or other discriminatory remarks
Shouting
Offensive gestures
Verbal or physical threats
Punching, kicking, or attempting to assault another person
Stalking or harassment

Return Policy

AJ's will accept returns for store credit if the following parameters are met:

Item is unopened & in new condition
It is within 30 days of purchase
A receipt or proof of purchase is presented at time of exchange
A $2 re-stocking fee will be deducted from the amount of store credit for each item returned

In the event of damaged or factory defects:

Item will be exchanged for same item if manufacturer policy permits*
If same item is not in stock, a store credit for the same amount will be issued.
Any and all cash refunds will be considered on a case-by-case basis and are at the sole discretion of the owner.

*Abu Garcia Reels can NOT be returned to AJ's with defects. Any and all warranty issues will be handled directly by Abu Garcia per their warranty requirements. AJ's will not be able to assist in this transaction as Abu Garcia requires that the purchaser deal with them directly.
